Privacy Policy
Home Energy Calculators is built to require zero personal data. No accounts, no email signup, no tracking cookies, and no third-party analytics scripts by default. This page describes the small amount of information that is unavoidable when serving a website, and what choices you have.
1. Information We Collect From You
We do not collect any information you enter into a calculator. All inputs (battery capacity, daily kWh, electricity price, etc.) are processed in your browser and never transmitted to our server. We do not require an account, an email address, or any other identifier to use the calculators.
2. Cookies and Tracking
We do not set first-party cookies for advertising, retargeting, or behavioral tracking. We do not embed Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any other third-party tracking script by default. If we ever add privacy-respecting analytics in the future (for example, Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and aggregates only page-view counts), we will update this policy and the "Last updated" date.
3. Browser Local Storage
Some calculators may remember your last inputs or your preferred unit system (metric vs imperial) in your browser’s localStorage. This data lives only on your device, is never sent to our server, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
4. Hosting and Server Logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare’s edge network may automatically log standard request metadata (IP address, user agent, requested URL, response status, timestamp) for security, abuse prevention, and DDoS mitigation. This metadata is governed by Cloudflare’s privacy policy and retention schedule; we do not export, mine, or correlate it with any other identifier.
5. Children’s Privacy
The site is a general-audience reference tool and does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13 (or under the equivalent age of consent in your jurisdiction). Because we collect no personal data from any visitor, no special process for child users is required.
6. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA / LGPD)
If you reside in the European Union, United Kingdom, California, Brazil, or another jurisdiction granting data-subject rights, those rights apply automatically — but in practice we hold no personal data tied to you, so there is nothing for us to access, port, correct, or delete. For any question about server-log retention, contact us at the address below and we will work with our hosting provider to address it.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy if our hosting, analytics, or feature set changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision. Material changes (for example, introducing any analytics) will be announced on the home page banner for at least 30 days.
